“All episodes after “The Frycook What Came from All That Space” were scrapped in mid-production. A handful of recordings by the series voice cast exist for some of these unfinished episodes, and the scripts for many can now be found on fan sites on the web. Most of this material was also released with the Invader Zim ‘house’ DVD box set as a special edition disc. Jhonen stated in the audio commentary that had the show continued, it would have leaned more towards a sci-fi styled show, with more space battles along the lines of “Backseat Drivers from Beyond the Stars”"

@Mara: I have no idea. The episodes are unfinished, and so far, they will continue to be unfinished because the makers of “Invader Zim” have gone on to other projects.
If you buy the “Invader Zim” box set, it comes with a DVD about the unfinished episodes. I haven’t seen it yet, but if there is any official info about it, that’s where it would be.
I saw on wikipedia that the last episode was originally planned for Dib to invade and attack the Irken’s homeland with an army. Check it out at

IZFAS (Invader Zim animated Fan series) is trying to do these episodes,do more episodes if they can,and do Invader Dib.

The season finale was supposed to be Tenn being captured,and rescude (sp?) by Zim and all the other irkens…Dib would have followed him,leading to the TV Movie.

they cancled it because they found bloody girs,pieces of the show that suggested more of a violent side,and the fact that jhonen has stated b4 that he wanted more violence in the show.

Oh my god. Why is every one sayng Dib killing the irkens is bad? SOMETHING has to die in that show. and it wasnt canceld JUST because of the bloody girrs. Noone really knows why. except there are three other theroys blowing around.
1. low raitings.
2. They(NIckelodian)didn’t like it, so they kept fairly odd parents.
3. Jhonen and the crew moved on cuz they hated it.

Um, I read from a site I found that Dib wasn’t supposed to kill all the Irkens. From my source, he teams up with the Meekrob and Resisty in an invasion against the Irken armada, lead by Zim.
In the end, though, Dib and his side lose, Zim goes on to become Tallest, and Dib is then forever a subject to experiments.

10 Minutes to Doom is where Zim loses his P.A.C.. He has 10 minutes until he dies. Jhonen Vasquez (Creator of the show) ment for Zim to die and that will be a good Series Fanale, but Nickelodeon banned of that to happen, because in case if they want to get the series back (It is 90% NOT HAPPENING.) So, Zim gets his P.A.C. back in the last minute. FUN FACT: This episode’s audio was recored after the show was cancelled.

Nyeh. I found it sad it was canceld and “Banned”. I was only… 5 when Zim was on TV. But, I can recall how much I watched the show and loved it. Was one of my favs. Then I forgot it when I was older, like now. Till I saw this pic of a purple moose and said- “…Odd…..I feel like I know that moose some how…” Then a few weeks later I remebered Zim while watching a video on YT. “So THATS where that moose came from. I KNEW I KNEW THAT MOOSE.” But, I guess it shall never come back. For a fact I know. Sad sad. But at least they still have Shirts, braclets, hats, and all that. Even today I went to Hot Topic and got A Gir Shirt, Necklace, Folder and notebook. So its not so bad. DVD’s are allways avable to me, Itunes also has all the episodes last time I looked. *Sighs* I can recall the only bit of what I can remember from Zim when I was younger… about… 2 seconds of the title scean. Short, But I just find the show Inspiring, despite of dumb the charatars may be. Zim is one of my fav parts of my early childhood. So I shall allways love it. <3 (That was long..)
I wish the show did continue that way I can see more of what happened to Zim and the gang. One episode that would’ve been a real hoot to me was “It Feeds On Noodles.” Someday it’ll return, but until then, people can just make sequels to what happens after the series ended with season 2.
As much as I want it to come back, I don’t think it will. Jhonen even said that he would commit Suicide before bringing the show back. Sad… I didn’t remember it until I saw someone with a Gir shirt. I asked them where it was from and they didn’t know (I hate it when people do this) and I looked up ‘green dog’ and found it. I agree AKA Waffle. It was a great part of my childhood and will always love it.

I never watched the show in my childhood. I was too afraid of the theme song. But I remember watching the end of Rise of the zit boy. Then one day I was on youtube and watched something called invader sonic (look it up) and I was like “I know that annoyingly evil voice.” Then someone commeted something like LOL funny invader zim parody. I looked up invader zim and now I’m a addict.

i heard that Nick only liked the episodes that took place on Earth. So "Battle of the Planets" wasn't one of their favorites…and neither was "The Trial" (tho it was never finished).
and about the show coming back…: jhonen himself said that if the show DID continue, it still wouldn't be the same. "some people would come back, some wouldn't." it's one of those things you just can't help. you can't blame him. leave JV alone. yes, it would be awesome if CN took it and put it on adult swim, but you have to consider the fact that whoever quit before PROBABLY ISN'T COMING BACK. especially if it was one of the cast members! :O you KNOW everyone will notice if the voices are different. besides, richard horvitz–zim–is busy with "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy". he might not have TIME to do another show, and he would be the most missed when it comes to voices.

when the show was on, i was really young, but i would have loved it considering i watched pokemon all the time and that includes mild violince. anyways i was gaining the skills to draw on the computer when my sister asked me to draw GIR. not knowing what GIR was, she showed me some pictures and resited the ‘to make room for the cupcake’ bit. eventually i saw some clips on youtube and was instantly hooked.
Apparently, they where gonna make Zim get hit by a comic (and dies) in the episode/movie, Invader Dib! O.O
I would off like to see “It feeds on noddles”. I can’t imagen Zim with chopsticks as teeth. xD

I know Invader Zim was awesome. Everyone thought that. I’m sure Nicks excuse: “We canceled it because of low rating” had to be a load of crap excuse. Comeon?! You can get Invader Zim T-shirts, toys, notebooks, shoes…well just about anything! Do you really think a show with such low ratings could aford all this? Millions of people loved this show! Nick took it off cause it was too violent…and don’t be like “No it’s not!” Come on? invader dib sounds way cool… and my friend found day of da spookies and read me the script it was sooooo cool. i don’t think it was right for nick to cancell the show. i was about 7 when nick stopped showing it. i remember watching an episode once in a while but i’ve forgotten the show tiil a friend showed me some pics she drew of GIR. now i’m hooked on it! still, they could at least show a few reruns and ask the cast to come back so they can finish the episodes. reruns would be awesome enough for most fans, i’m sure. it’s waaaay better than nothing, right?
Zim’s show was canceled because in “Mortos der Soulstealer” the animators put a picture of GIR covered in blood during the opening. some snobby kid found it and he told his parents, they called Nick, and they had to cancel it. so blame the animators. :[

racheal, rory, ashton, etc, you guys got it all wrong. they did not get canceled because of bloody gir, or low ratings, etc. it got canceled because of Christian Parenting Today, an organization of Christian parents, that go around being faggots and telling Christian parents not to let their kids watch shows and play games disapproved by them, because they don’t have “Christian values”. in other words, an organization of stuck up christian extremist self supremists, hell-bent on abolishing the first few ammendments, and hell-bent on controlling all forms of media to make sure ABSOLUTELY NOTHING gets out that does not abide by their standards. These people disapproved of Invader Zim, for the aliens, dark theme, and gothic subculture, as these were “against Christian values”(because *insert sarcasm here* shows can have things racially and religiously offensive, but no one can make anything offensive to Christian supremists, as they are so important
). they disagreed with fairly odd parents, for the use of magic was also “against Christian values”. because of this, Nick didn’t think that other parents would agree, and feared that their reputation. So, they purposely moved the schedule all over the place, without avertising the schedule, to PURPOSELY keep people from watching it(can’t watch IZ if you don’t know when its on 
) and then, having bad ratings from viewers not knowing when it was on, they used the ratings(although the low ratings were caused by Nick’s purposeful schedule changes)as an excuse to break their contract with Jhonen. then, knowing how large the fan base was, and seeing the fan base growing rapidly, they decided to be complete assholes and keep the rights to invader zim, disallow anyone(including Jhonen) from buying the rights to it, so that they could make royalty money off of all sold merchandise, such as shirts at hot topic and dvd sets. aka, nickelodeon is run by assholes, and should die. on that note, do NOT buy any invader zim merchandise at hot topic, as all proceeds go to Nick, not Jhonen. dont feed Nick’s hungry wallets with money they do not deserve. also, Jhonen would come back to it. he said he would never work on invader zim again, but he wasnt saying that because he didnt like invader zim, he said that because he didnt like nick. he said that working with that many people(not the IZ team, he meant the millions of people at nick) was a misery, and that he could not trust them (they broke a contract with him, a legal contract. would you trust them?) also, the fact that they had full creative control of his work pissed him off(it would piss you off too if someone else was controlling what you do and do not put in YOUR creation). if, somehow, Jhonen got the full rights for invader zim, and he was able to make it withot limits, and without time limits, and without a bunch of people up his ass and controlling his work, he would most likely go back to it. good luck prying the rights to invader zim from Nick’s greedy ass hands though.

Hey Shira, look at my previous comment. Jhonen and the IZ crew can NOT move the show to CN or they would have a long time ago. Nickelodeon owns all the rights to Invader Zim and all logos, names, copyrights, and trademarks associated with it. And, being the pompous asses they are, refuse to sell the rights to Jhonen, or anyone for that matter. Why? Because they are too busy making money off of merchandise royalties(royalties=when someone sells something not belonging to them, they have to pay the person who owns the rights a percentage of the income. when hot topic sells IZ stuff, they have to pay Nick a percentage of the profits)and filling their wallets. So Jhonen will NEVER move IZ to CN because of Nick being run by greedy people. Also, do not buy any invader zim apparel from hot topic, all your doing is giving Nickelodeon money they DO NOT deserve.

if you watch the show on Nick, then they will make money from the ads playing during the show. in other words, your giving nick more money that they do not deserve. Until Nick makes a compromise with Jhonen(either rehiring him, which is doubtful as he hates working with that many people, or selling him or giving him the rights to the show) i say you should boycott all Invader Zim merchandise and TV programs. Watch it here or just buy the DVD set(DVD set will give them money, but a LOT less than the money they make from advertising). Im not sure about you guys, but I’m permanently boycotting nick(i have been since 2002) until they set the issue straight. and if i have kids, they will NOT watch it. And i will instruct them to keep their kids from watching it. I will have NOONE in my family watch the putrid filth on that Tv network until they fix what they have done. You should do the same.

Also, please keep in mind that those who worked on Invader Zim worked for Nickelodeon and signed contracts with the terms a lot of people don’t like now. For example, Nick owns IZ. I recommend you realize that Jhonen Vasquez and team are not victims. They agreed to the terms enough to sign contracts and be employed by Nick. That’s the way of the big, bad world. Get used to it because when you go out and go to work, you will be subject to the same “company owns your butt” rules.
You are free to watch the show when it comes on Nicktoons in March or to boycott it. It’s up to you. If you want to watch it, do so. If boycotting Nick is more important to you, then don’t watch it.

well when I was younger i remember I was up till like 12:00 at night and I watched a Zim ep. and it scared the crap out of me. (I think it was the chicken foot ep.) Well any ways one of my friends pulled this up on the computer and we watched a few ep. Boom! hooked but after I found out why it was cancelled I did agree, it was to scary for children that are used to watching Dora and crap like that, but it is perferct for pre-teens and up. All they had to do was change it to a different Network, but if it was cancelled for other reason then pretend I didnt say any of this.
LOL, I see how you can agreeand link Dora to it. M lil’ sis. used to love Dora. She still doesn’t likeany show/movie/video in general that’s just a bit scary.

Nicktoons Network is a separate channel from Nickelodeon. It is usually a digital tier channel. It’s channel 219 where I live. The show IS NOT on Nickelodeon.

Hey guys Tak here. You may have saw me in one of the episodes. Me and Zim are very sorry that his show was taken away. Thank you for being fans. The reason why it was taken off the air is because of to many views. Nick thought the show was not the best thing for little kids to see. There was no bloody GIR. Someone made it up. I will tell what happens in Invader Zim: Invader Dib. Well Dib and Gaz join up with these two races that are aginst Irk. Soon Zim leaves Earth to help Irk in war. Zim finds out him, GIR, Mia, and GIRETTE can’t do this alone. They need at least two more people. So Zim comes to me and ask for MIMI’s and my help. I just couldn’t resist him after he poored his heart out when he told me he was sorry for the blackout. Well I couldn’t resist him period. Anyway, I eventuly join the team. We find Dib’s races are trying to destroy Earth and are just using Dib. Zim and me try to tell him and when Zim has the chance to kill Dib he doesn’t. That’s when Dib believes us. So he joins with Gaz as well. In the end we give him a SIR unit and Earth is safe. Zim relizes in this movie that Earth is very loving when you get past it’s image. Zim becomes a protector of Earth and Irk. We (all of us) stay on Earth, but of course vist Irk. In the end Zim and myself end up togather after he saves me. (my hero) and Zim and Dib act like brothers. Zim also tells GIR he loves him. (so sweet of him) Zim also is respected by the tallest and the other Irkens. As for Ms. Bitters well she is just Ms.Bitters. I will be happy to answer any questions you have. Thank you once agin for being fans of Invader Zim.

Or you can download a half-hour block at a time for $0.99 (1 half hour episode or two 15 minute episodes). DVD’s for each season are still available separately for reasonable prices. The box set can be purchased, but it is no longer in print, so you will pay a ton of money for a box set until they re-release it. I believe (I don’t know) that they will probably release a 10th anniversary box set edition.

Yes, I hope they make these shows again… I absolutly love Invader Zim. Invader Dib sounds interesting. I read on line that that was going to be the season fanaly, and that there waz gonna be this big war n stuff between the Irken Empire and Earth. Lol. Epic, but since stupid Nickolodean has to be, well, Stupid, It may not happen…
But for the best, at least we have this website with all episodes that went on air. ^^ We can thank God for that,

It wasnt low rating Johnen said himself it was because they said the show was “too dark and violent” so they canceled it. Then Johnen said he would never work with them again, I believe this is because they just canceled it with no ending.

Invader Zim was one of my FAVE shows when I was little. The Violence never scared me. When I was little I watched rated R movies. A year ago I was googling something and a pic of Zim came up and I was like “…..OMFG ZIM!!!!!!!” Then I googled all the episodes and watched them. Now Im a freak about it again. :3
If the show DID SOMEHOW come back I know it wouldent be the same….. BUT I still wouldent mind watching it.
Like American Dragon Jake Long on DC. It started one way. then left then came back looking completly different, but it was still good.
I wish they put Invader Zim back on TV forever. It’s a funny show. As Gir would say “I love this show.” I love Gir. I know three people in my skool who love Gir ( not including me).

If they cancled the show because of bloody GIR I would be mad. First of all, he went by so quick that it is extremly hard to see him (belive me, I’ve tried.) Second, I’ve seen pictures of him. It just looks like a SIR with red Kool-aid poored on him, and little kids would probably see that, too. They wouldn’t think of a show like this having a character with blood on it. I hope this isn’t the reason they cancled it.
I also heard it was because they ran out of room when they put FOP on. THAT SHOW STINKS! They need to forget about that show and put Zim back. FOP (Fairly Odd Parents) is really stupid and they make all kids look like either bullies, stupid people, brainiacts, or country people. It is offensive to people from the counry, by the way, because they make them stupid and eat gross things such a rats. After they put that on Nickelodian got more stupid shows.

Invader Zim is and will always be the #1 show on Nickelodian. The olnly reason they took it off air is because they changed it’s time to when people were at school/work, then it’s ratings dropped.

I watched Nubs of Doom. It was sooo funny. It shows why Minimoose (from The Most Horrible x-mas) was in that episode. I heard Invader Dib is when Dib seriously fights the Irken empire and ZIM. If you type in nubs of doom on youtube then you can find the episode script or audio. It took me 2 weeks to see Nubs of Doom. I would tell everyone but it’s kind of hard. Just keep on tryin’

invader zim wasn’t canceled for low rating or that they didn’t like it. Nick wanted it to hit the target audience of children around 8-12 but it hit the target audience of older teens and college kids mostly (always an exception)and when they (nick) hired JV to work on a cartoon what did they expect to happen? really now, you have to look at his other works when you hire someone NICK! for crying out loud he is also the creator of Johny the Homicidal Maniac! Oh how I miss IZ *sigh*

and why not give a percentage of the monet to the cast to finish the series and to bribe them for screwing up the contract as well as lifting most to all restrictions of the show?
also if they change the rating why not have a seperate channel so nick doesnt worry about being closely associated with a show that has a higher
rating than most shows on their network.

Do you know where I could a script or something about Invader Dib? Or at least tell me your source of information. I’ve been looking for the scripts for the Unfinished Episodes. I know Roomwithamoose.com has some scripts, but I don’t know if it has all of them. It may only have the ones wtih recorded audio. I’ll have to check. But I just want to know more about the Unfinished Episodes.

I once read somewhere(I think it was a comment from Youtube)that Jhonen called the IZ experience “a trip to Hell that I will never return to”.
I don’t blame him. I’m not saying that the show’s bad, I frappin love IZ, I’m deeply intrigued. He’s a bloody genius for creating it. I think he means the whole negative critisism and and Nick’s lies where Hell to him. I think this may have drove him mad(more than already is) and maybe even weakened him.
I feel bad for the guy, his probably most-loved creation is out of reach. Nick taintalizes him with it by making all the money from it and putting it back on air.

Seeing how they’re showing the shows again (I saw one yesterday on T.V. so they are, right?) do you think it’s possable that they’ll finish.
I know it’s b.s. that Nick cancelled it because of low ratings because it was VERY popular from what I remember.

What I wish is that nicktoons would find Jhonen, and beg him to come back and finish the uncompleated episodes. I mean we all now he would make some pretty cool new episodes. I’ve been thinking about this for a while now…
I’ve been thinking about sending a polite, mature, and formal email to Nicktoons explaining that we (the IZ fans) are glad that the show is back on air, but that Nicktoons didn’t fufill our entire request. That our full request was to get the show back on air AND finish the Unfinished Episodes and the series finale movie. They only did the first part. I’m going tell Nicktoons to consider this request and TRY to get Jhonen to finish and allow him to work with the people he trusts (not Viacom). I know this sounds like a huge challenge and it is, but all I ask is for them to TRY.
I know it took what, 6-7 years to get the show back on air? That’s because we TRIED and it came through. If we can try even harder, who knows, we may see new episodes. It seems unfair to me, Jhonen, and everybody that this had to happen. Me, I plan to become a cartoonist meself (ever since I was what, 5 years old? Maybe even younger) and it discourages me that this happens. I don’t want to be discouraged.
I believe that we still have a chance to change things. We just need to try. That’s all I ask.

invader zim cannot come back. it is sad but its true. nick has the rights to the show and they have expressed several times that it will not return. they play the old episodes still on tv, but thats as far as it will go. there were several events that led up to the demise of the show. its ratings went to ****. the creator and nick fought constantly from day one. parents flipped out. and the whole court case where invader zim episode dark harvest was cited as reasoning behind a kid killing people. the show was great, but much like ren and stimpy before it, it was on the wrong station to begin with. cartoon network has tried for the past 3 years according to the president of adult swim to gain access to the show. comedy central also but bids into it, but dropped it when the creator said he would have no part in the show’s future, if one were to ever exist.

i heard that invader poonchy and nubs of doom were going to be shown on January 18, 2002 but it was cancelled on January 17, 2002 and if tey cancelled it a day later we would’ve got to see invader poonchy and nubs of doom on tv.

I have two things to say.
1. Jhonen never said he hated the show.
2. When the series was cancelled, the crew wanted to finish 10 Minutes To Doom with Zim dying and end the show, but Nickelodeon said no, just in case the show was to be revived. Which, the show is gaining popularity. According to Operation Head Pigeons (On Facebook, look it up) if the new DVD to be released in February, Operation: Doom (Look it up & buy it) does well, Nickelodeon would consider reviving it.

I had heard from a friend that Invader ZIm was coming back on the air June-July-ish. Like, 2 more new seasons. These comments have led me to believe that it’s most likely a rumor. I wish Jhonenn would bring the show back. Honestly, theres probably tons of people who would watch it (old fans and a new generation). Me and my friend have been working on a comic book and are planning on sending it to the creator in order to show some sort of support of the show and that it lives on it most of us. I don’t know if he’d want it, or if it would mean anything, but it’s taken me some serious time (3-4 weeks) and everyone who’s seenit seems impressed with my work. I hope to find an address somehow and send it off with my fingers crossed.
in one of the commentaries on the DVD’s they mentioned that next 4 episodes after “the frycook” were completed (both audio AND animation) and were just waiting on them to get in from Korea so they could overlay them having 4 more episodes (which apparently arrived the day AFTER it was canceled)
and On Jhonens blog he has mentioned he would like to continue the series but a few things are preventing him (like Nick/viacom being the owners of the series) and the funding they are allotting to the series isn’t enough for him to use the quality he enforced in the first run of the show and would be toned down to FOP quality (the cheapest made nicktoon)
Wait a minute… In the end, Dib leads a war and exterminates all Irken life? The ending portrays a violent element. WAR AND GENOCIDE. This could be a bad message for a kid. A Holocaust in a kids’ TV show?
That’s what a hypocrite would say.
Violence? Meh. The threat is all around us. If you want to save those child’s innocence, not only Invader Zim should be canceled, 80% of the Earth’s shows and even the Internet should be banned too.
